Without some proper sunlight, your jade plant will stop growing, or it'll grow tall and leggy.

💧Jade plants are succulents (they hold water in their leaves), so they don't do well when sitting in constantly moist soil. Let the top 1 to 2 Inches of soil dry out between waterings. This will probably mean watering once every 2 weeks--but be sure to check regularly.

💊 As slow-growing houseplants, jade plants don't require regular fertilizing. Once every 3-4 months will suffice. Feed during the spring and summer months with a general purpose houseplant fertilizer that has a PK (nitrogen-phosphorous-potassium) ratio of approx. 10-10-10. For the amount to use, follow product label instructions. No fertilizer is needed during the winter months when growth naturally slows.

🌡️ Jade plants prefer average household temperatures ranging from 65 to 75°F. At night and in the winter, jade plants can handle a cooler environment, down to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, though they should never be kept in temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit for any prolonged period of time.

🪴 Jade plants have a shallow root system. Only repot young jade plants once every 2 to 3 years to encourage growth. With older jade, repot once every 4 to 5 years or as necessary. Transplant in the early spring, just before the growing season begins. After repotting, don't water the plant for a week or so. This succulent plant likes a well draining potting mix so blend in some extra sand and perlite to improve drainage.

🐜 All of plants from Passionate Gem are treated monthly with a natural spray consisting of hydrogen peroxide, natural soap and neem oil diluted with water- but that doesn't mean once they go to a new home it can't catch a critter infestation from surrounding plants, soil or even cut flowers can be a carrier of pests. Preventative maintenance is key! Check your plants often, clean leaves by giving it the occasional shower or wiping with a clean damp cloth. Use clean pots and fresh quality soil when transplanting. A spray, like mentioned above, is a really great preventative measure as well.
