ADMISSION Felt Birthday Crown Workshop with Ruth Scholl

Create joy in a child's life with a felt birthday crown! Join Ruth of Ruth Scholl Illustration on Saturday, May 9th from 6–8 pm for an evening of childlike creativity!

Inspired by the Waldorf tradition of making felt birthday crowns, in this workshop you will design and create a crown of your own. We will go over some examples, then each participant will design their own crown. We will cut out our materials, learn some hand-sewing basics, and assemble our crowns together. Materials such as felt, scissors, thread, embroidery floss, pom poms, buttons, and velcro will be provided. At the end of the workshop, each participant will have a finished, one-of-a-kind crown, or go home equipped with materials and skills to finish it at home. Our hope is that you can recreate this experience at home whenever you might need another crown!

While it’s open to guests ages 12 and up, we kindly encourage you to make it an adults-only outing if possible. We’re aiming to keep the atmosphere relaxed and tailored for a more mature audience. Thanks so much for understanding!

Please note: As this workshop is being hosted inside the retail area of Lichen, we require that all attendees purchase a ticket. This is a non-refundable event unless canceled by the organizers. Events are subject to a minimum enrollment. In the rare case of low registration, participants will be contacted and fully refunded. Tickets are transferable, and must be coordinated directly with Lichen in order to transfer your ticket(s).
