Silver/Shibuichi Crescent Posts by Elm Designs

These post earrings are unique and easy to wear everyday. They are made by combining a silver crescent and round shibuichi element, creating an artistic, modern, contrasting design.

Shibuichi is a traditional Japanese alloy of copper and silver, which oxidizes in shades of muted grays. When patina is applied, it produces varied surface tones that enhance its distinctive character. Variations of the shibuichi coloring may appear as the metal oxidizes more or less.

Entirely handcrafted by Lara McGlinchy of ELM Designs in Fairbanks, Alaska. Made from sterling silver.
